DSC00366.jpg (275945 bytes) We have visited Point Reyes several times.  On another page there are pictures of us biking in to Wild Cat Campground in November 2002.  On that trip we saw whales.  This time we backpacked about 2 miles in to Coast Camp. DSC00369.JPG (329736 bytes)
This is our campsite, about 200 yards from the beach.  This was our first trip with this tent.  Soon after this pictures was taken we walked down to the beach.  While we were gone something clawed it's way into our tent and left a hole about the size of a volley ball.  We have had problems with raccoons in the park before and think that one just got curious.   We didn't have any food in the tent and don't know why it decided to visit us. The beach was wonderful.  It was about 70 degrees outside, considerably warmer than the 30 degrees in Utah that we had just left.  Forester had fun playing in the waves despite the very cold water.

Ilana is hanging from the tree that is silhouetted above.  The tree is a huge, lonely, magical eucalyptus. DSC00392.jpg (179274 bytes) DSC00394.jpg (217808 bytes)
