a bat got loose in our little apartment! It finally stopped flying
around and hung from the molding long enough for me to grab it, stick it
in a laundry sack, and carry it outside.

This was a winter camping trip that we took. We walked out on to
the frozen lake by the campsite. We went camping 4 times this
winter. The coldest it got was about 0 degrees.
